This scripture has been one of my favorites since stepping into marriage with my husband David in 1997. Today, it hangs on our wall as not just a reminder and a heart check, but it keeps us humble remembering that this kind of love is only possible because of Jesus. Love is the very essence of who God is and reflects all of His amazing attributes. What I’ve learned is that if I am not experiencing love as it is described here, I am not experiencing God, but something other.
This work of art was inspired by my dear friend Ali who has reflected this type of love in friendship and was created as a gift for her bridal shower guests. Read the entire passage in 1 Corinthians 13.
